📝 What is Technical Analysis?
🌟 What is Technical Analysis?
Imagine you are buying and selling mangoes 🥭 in a market.
Every day you check — what was the mango price yesterday? What was it last week? Was the price going up or down?
If you see that for 3 days price is going up... you may think — "Tomorrow also the price may go up, let me buy today and sell tomorrow to make profit!" 💰
👉 This thinking is called Technical Analysis.
It simply means:
Looking at past price to guess future price.
✔️ No need to check mango quality, mango seller's shop, or owner’s details. Only price matters! 😄
Same way, in stock market — traders only check stock price and volume to make decisions.
🔍 Why Technical Analysis is Useful?
✔️ Helps traders to decide when to Buy cheap & Sell costly! 🔄
✔️ Helps to earn profit by catching small price moves. 💸
✔️ Helps to avoid buying at the wrong time. ❌
🎯 Best Example to Understand:
👦 You go to the market daily to buy onions 🧅.
For 10 days you see this:
✔️ Day 1: ₹20/kg
✔️ Day 2: ₹22/kg
✔️ Day 3: ₹24/kg
✔️ Day 4: ₹26/kg
✔️ Day 5: ₹28/kg
👉 You think — "Price is rising every day. Better buy today, tomorrow it may be ₹30/kg!"
✔️ This is technical analysis — judging by price chart (past prices).
No need to check who is the farmer, what fertilizer he used, how was the weather — only price movement matters!
🛠️ What Tools are Used in Technical Analysis?
1️⃣ Charts (Price Graphs)
Show the stock price movement — just like seeing onion price history.
2️⃣ Support & Resistance
✔️ Support = Price won’t fall below this easily (like a floor).
✔️ Resistance = Price won’t go above this easily (like a ceiling).
3️⃣ Trendlines
Shows the direction — UP trend (price going up) or DOWN trend (price falling).
4️⃣ Indicators (Like RSI, MACD)
These are tools that tell if the price may rise or fall soon — just like asking a smart friend what he thinks about tomorrow’s onion price! 😄
5️⃣ Volume
Shows how many people are buying/selling — more volume = stronger signal.
⚠️ Important: Technical vs Fundamental Analysis:
✔️ Technical Analysis = Check price & chart only.
✔️ Fundamental Analysis = Check the company’s business, profit, sales.
If you want to trade for 1-2 days or short time — Technical is best!
If you want to invest for 5-10 years — Fundamental is best!
❌ Limitations of Technical Analysis:
✔️ It’s not always correct — just like weather prediction 🌧️☀️.
✔️ Sometimes price behaves opposite — unexpected! 😲
✔️ No idea about the company’s health — only price study.
💡 Final Words:
✔️ Technical Analysis = Guessing tomorrow’s price by seeing old prices.
✔️ Useful for short term trading.
✔️ Not magic — but increases your chances to make profit! 💰
✔️ Always use stop loss and safety rules! 🛡️
✅ Learn charts, practice paper trading, and slowly you will become smart in Technical Analysis! 🚀
